My laptop is still acting weird. I don't know what exactly it is that's its doing; it's just weird.

I'm going to ask my degenerate gambler friend David about it when I am next able to see him. He knows absolutely nothing about computers, but he knows about weird and a second opinion never hurt anyone.

Last night was odd, for several reasons, mind you. It took me a while to get back into my apartment. My kitchen window is rather high up, so it always takes five or six jumps to reach it. Luckily, one of the prostitutes, who are always visiting my neighbor, who has the large barking dogs, gave me a boost.

She had crimson red lips and looked younger than the others.

My apartment was really quiet since the large barking dogs that my neighbor owns were not barking. I set about cleaning up the place. I hadn't really touched anything since the break-in. The cops had dusted the television, front door, and the stereo for fingerprints; so there was still this crazy residue on them. I would have wiped it off, but I'm out of paper towels.

I took the yellow "Caution! Police Line! Do Not Cross!" tape and fashioned it into a crude headband, then began straightening up the place.

That's when I noticed that there was some dried blood on the shattered glass, which used to be my television screen. That reminded me about the cut on my right hand, and how I should change the bandaging. Elkie was the one who had wrapped it up originally, but then again, she was also the one who first detected that I had been cut.

Elkie noticed the wound even before I did; it had been bleeding for a while too, but all the blood had dried by the time she spotted it.

I went into the bathroom. The shower curtain was still drawn closed. I opened it and saw that the trunk that Shannon had left me in her will was undisturbed and still sitting in the bathtub, padlocked shut. I decided it was rather silly to be scared of an inanimate object, so I took the trunk that Shannon had left me in her will and put it back in the living room.

Sure as shit I left it padlocked shut though.

I went back to the bathroom to rewrap my hand but didn't make it. I passed out or something, and woke up on the floor in front of the bathroom about an hour ago. I was covered in blood because my nose had decided to bleed again. Maybe the air in my apartment is too dry. That’s usually the cause of my nosebleeds.

I really need to move.

I only woke up because the phone was ringing. It was Elkie. She wants me to come over to her place tonight after I get off work at the club where I bartend part-time. Elkie rented The Highlander and tonight she wants me to watch it with her.

That’s fucking awesome.
